Movie Story :
The story is inspired from William Shakespeare's Macbeth, Jolly Joseph Koodathayi Cyanide Murders and other movies like K.G.George's Irakal.
William Shakespeare Macbeth story brief: Macbeth (full title The Tragedy of Macbeth) is a tragedy by William Shakespeare; it is thought to have been first performed in 1606. Macbeth dramatizes the damaging physical and psychological effects of political ambition on those who seek power for its own sake. A brave Scottish general named Macbeth receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the Scottish throne for himself.
Koodathayi Cyanide Murders in Kozhikode district case: Koodathayi Cyanide Murders were a series of criminal incidents that occurred at Koodathayi in Kozhikode district, in the South Indian state of Kerala. The crimes were investigated in late 2019, involving the mystery of 6 people's murder over a span of 14 years. The murder was one of the criminal cases which drew considerable media and public interest in Kerala, which eventually led to the arrest of Jolly Joseph. In the popular Indian television show Crime Patrol Satark season 2, broadcast on Sony Pictures Networks India, the episodes 100, 101 and 102 are dedicated to explaining the events in the real Koodathayi Cyanide Murders case. It can be found on YouTube.

My Review:
Pros: It's not easy to make/adapt well known plays/drama as Movies. It's the screenplay/dialogues that has to do the magic to engage the audience of well known stories. This movie is well crafted in that sense. Watch out the performance of Fahadh Faasil(Fahadh is acting as Villain in upcoming Allu-Arjun/Sukumar venture, PUSHPA).
Intriguing Background score is top notch..
Cons: Movie is a bit slow and needs your full attention. Watch without much expectations & read Macbeth's story before watching the movie otherwise it is a difficult plot to understand.
Oscar goes to: Fahadh Faasil
My Rating: { 2.75 / 5 }
Stars: Fahadh Faasil, Unnimaya Prasad, Babu Raj
Technical Crew:
